FAQ

Can I do all 4 strokes in the pool?
Yes you can.
Can I use my wetsuit in the pool?
Yes you can bring your own wetsuit. You can also test the Nineteen wetsuits if you are interested in purchasing a new wetsuit for the upcoming season.
Can you perform drill and technique work in the pool?
Yes this is something standard that we offer, and will be individual and specific to you. You will be able to practice drills and/or stroke correction once your stroke has been analysed by your H2motion Coach.
How different is the endless pool to a normal pool?
It will take a few minutes to get used to the endless pool environment with the current flowing over you. This will usually take a couple of minutes for you to settle into your normal swimming. We recommend that you swim at 70% effort, so just a bit above your warm up pace.
How fast does the current in the endless pool go?
You would be able to swim at 60secs / 100 metres pace constantly, although for video analysis we prefer you to swim at 70% of your maximum as any stroke deficiencies will be apparent whether you are swimming at 100% or 70%.
How long will my session be?
We have 3 sessions, 60, 90 and 120 minutes, a significant % if this time will be spent in the pool.
How will I benefit from H2motion Coached sessions?
Everyone we have coached has seen an improvement in his or her swimming. By using an endless pool with our cameras in place, you will be able to see your stroke on the video playback. You will also gain a great deal of clarity regarding your current stroke and ways to improve it from your H2motion Coach.
I’ve already had a swim session, if I rebook, what will I be working on or gain, and how does this work?
We have many repeat clients. It is valuable to return on a fortnightly, monthly or bi-monthly basis, for 60 minutes in the pool. This enables you to progress from your last session, provided there are improvements in your stroke, or to address the difficulties being experienced in integrating the recommendations from the last session.
What do I get in the session?
Warm up, swim and video analysis, stroke correction with drills to practice, a DVD of your session, written report* and tailored video drills* (* for 90 & 120 minute sessions)
What size is the endless pool?
Measuring just 7' x 14', the Endless Pool, often referred to as a swimmer's treadmill, provides all the benefits of a full sized swimming pool in a fraction of the space.
What temperature is the pool generally?
The Pool is kept within 28-30 degrees Celsius, although this can be adjusted for wetsuit use.
