Coming up in January we have 2 different training and assessment days on offer.

Firstly we have a Performance Training Day with British Triathlon Olympic team Mens coach Ben Bright, Velomotion Lead Fitter and British Triathlon physiotherapist John Dennis. The day will be open to a limited number of athletes who want assessment and advice across all swim, bike run disciplines. There will be space for 10-12 athletes on the day, which will include a bike/run session in the morning, followed by seminars and advice on bike position, individual assessment of running technique with the optogait system to determine stride length and contact times to determine any side to side differences and advice on run drills to improve.

You will also get 15 minutes in the endless pool to have your swim stroke recorded and advice on improving your technique by Ben Bright.

There will also be advice on key sessions to do during these cold months with summer racing in mind.

Please note these sessions are introductory in each discipline and wont constitute the full detailed assessments that we provide. This day is intended to be informative and give athletes useful information to take away and implement into their own training.

The second training/ analysis day is aimed at a group of no more than 4 athletes. This is a bespoke day aimed at those who wanted to have the "pro' treatment. With full assessment sessions in in each discipline the day will include swim assessment with Elite coach Ben Bright, retul set up of one bike by John Dennis, Optogait run technical assessment with physiotherapist Keith Allen-Shirtcliffe and bike fitness test with Dr David Bailey, exercise physiologist who has previously worked British Cycling track team, British Triathlon and currently works as a consultant with elite cycling.

Please call Katy in the office o 01908 611077 for details and pricing.

This could be an ideal christmas present for someone! Gift vouchers are available for these days as well as the individual services we provide.

Last week, Velomotion Lead Fitter John Dennis travelled to Calpe in Spain as the new merged Radioshack and Leopard Trek teams came together for the first time. In two fairly frantic days of bike fitting, Mat and John worked through a combination of scanning and assessing bikes and riders.

Amongst those assessed were Andy and Frank Schleck who came straight in from the steady 4 hour ride they had done that morning. The brothers were looked at for both their road and tt positions. Other key riders were helped out with their positions including Gregory Rast, Matthew Busche, Nelson Oliviera and Hayden Roulsen. Check out the link below for photo images from the camp of Mat and John working the retul magic!
