Last week, Velomotion Lead Fitter John Dennis travelled to Calpe in Spain as the new merged Radioshack and Leopard Trek teams came together for the first time. In two fairly frantic days of bike fitting, Mat and John worked through a combination of scanning and assessing bikes and riders.

Amongst those assessed were Andy and Frank Schleck who came straight in from the steady 4 hour ride they had done that morning. The brothers were looked at for both their road and tt positions. Other key riders were helped out with their positions including Gregory Rast, Matthew Busche, Nelson Oliviera and Hayden Roulsen. Check out the link below for photo images from the camp of Mat and John working the retul magic!

Velomotion Lead Fitter John Dennis recently visited with Retul in Boulder, Colorado to collaborate on future Retul University offerings and content of the existing education programmes.

Following on from a successful few days, the Retul Certification course will be updated and there will be further levels of education available that will offer a preparatory course for those with little fitting experience as well as more advanced courses based around topics such as TT/TRI specific positioning, medical and injury related issues.

These courses are likely to be available in Europe in the New Year.

It is a busy time before that- Velomotion fitters John Dennis and Mike Smith will travel to Taipei, Taiwan to deliver a Retul Education Course to candidates and there will be a further Retul U at Velomotion in the UK in December. Forwardmotion (our new Run Analysis Studio) has recently deployed a new technology called Optogait. Optogait is a state-of-the-art system that brings a proven philosophy of assessment to injury prevention and rehabilitation to help athletes run more efficiently and identify posture-related or movement-related problems. By acquiring the fundamental parameters of the athlete’s gait, OPTOGAIT allows the All3motion team to quantitatively measure underlying mechanical inefficiencies and target any problematic areas. With this information, we can develop the right exercises to properly address the athlete’s specific needs for enhanced performance.

On Wednesday 17th August we had our official launch event at our All3motion Studio. The event was attended by members from the media, leading Triathletes Tim Don, Liz Blatchford, and Emma Kate Lidbury as well as many local runners, swimmers, cyclists and triathletes. We had a great time meeting everyone and hope to build on the back of this by having further open evenings to demonstrate the benefits of our services.

Read the link here for up to date news on the new framefinder software. Soon to be added manufacturers: Blue and Argon 18. As new bike lines are added to the software the application will become more and more attractive to a wide range of customers.

If you are looking to change bikes or get buy your first, take the guesswork out of the specification of the build from the start by building and customising your 'prescription' bike. Velomotion already works closely with Blue Competition Cycles so looks forward to the addition of the bike line to offer customers their bespoke bikes.
